This piece is a round glass bead, capped and cored. The bead is red with its surface is intricately decorated with goldenrod yellow scrollwork, dot, and line patterns. The bead has been lightly etched for a matte finish.

This bead is a smaller version of my large rounds. They are lighter and more comfortable to wear.

The caps are also handmade by me, in sterling silver. The caps are fixed to the bead with a sterling silver tube riveted through the center.

The bead itself is 27 mm from hole to hole and 26 mm at its widest point. And to note, these beads are solid glass, not hollow..giving substantial weight to the bead.


The hole of this bead is cored with 3/16" tubing, allowing design possibilities to be endless. You can simply thread it through a chain once, or twice, or run multiple strands of seed beads, just to name a few things I have done personally with them.

All of my beads are made by me, completely by hand. I use Moretti, Vetrofond, Lauscha, ASK, CIM, Double Helix, and Reichenbach glass. All beads are kiln annealed to ensure strength.
