This piece is a disc shaped glass bead, capped and cored. The base of the bead is white, and the surface is intricately decorated with light turquoise scrollwork, dot, and line patterns. It was etched for a matte finish. This bead is capped with handmade sterling silver caps.

The caps are fixed to the bead with a sterling silver tube riveted through the center.

The bead itself is 17 mm from hole to hole and 40 mm at its widest point. And to note, these beads are solid glass, not hollow..giving substantial weight to the bead.


The hole of this bead is cored with 3/16" tubing, allowing design possibilities to be endless. You can simply thread it through a chain once, or twice, or run multiple strands of seed beads, just to name a few things I have done personally with them.

All of my beads are made by me, completely by hand. I use Moretti, Vetrofond, Lauscha, ASK, CIM, Double Helix, and Reichenbach glass. All beads are kiln annealed to ensure strength.
